To reduce your grocery bill, start with the Menu Plan to determine your grocery needs for the week. Use everything currently in your fridge, pantry and freezer to fill in the Menu Plan. Then use sales ads to fill in the empty spaces with items that are on sale. Next use the Grocery List to plan your trip to the store. Stick to it and you wonít overspend. Lastly, use Price Book Pages torecord prices from various stores to determine which store has the best prices. For great sales, stockpile 6 weeks to 6 months of an item so you have it on hand for future use.
Low Cost Recipes provide inexpensive ideas for your menu plan. Sometimes itís difficult to find good and cheap recipes for ingredients you have in your fridge, pantry, freezer, or stockpile. These Low Cost recipes are all under $5 for the entire meal. Search by ingredient to get a list of every recipe in the database that includes that ingredient. This is very helpful in creating meals out of random stockpile ingredients.
